PRESENTATION OF THE EXCHANGE
Brief introduction
Hasan Arda Sulak, a young entrepreneur from Turkey with a background in mechatronics
engineering and 3D printing technologies, joined the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs
programme to strengthen his skills in machine design, R&D, and business development.
Already experienced in SLS 3D printing, Arda aimed to learn directly from experienced
entrepreneurs while contributing his knowledge to innovative projects. Hosted by Michał
Rogowski in Poland, the exchange became an important step in bridging technical expertise
with practical entrepreneurship.
Activities undertaken
During the six-month exchange, Arda actively participated in the design and development of
new machinery, focusing especially on an automated blaster project for post-processing. He
joined business strategy meetings, gaining first-hand experience in planning for growth and
addressing customer needs. Together with his host, he attended fairs where they met
potential customers and explored new opportunities in the additive manufacturing sector.
Throughout the programme, Arda balanced teamwork with independent responsibilities,
deepening his technical and entrepreneurial skills.
Benefits achieved
The exchange provided Arda with both professional and personal growth. On the technical
side, he refined his skills in machine design, prototyping, and workflow optimization. On the
entrepreneurial side, he experienced how to align R&D efforts with market demands and
how to scale innovative ideas. Attending industry fairs and meetings allowed him to build a
strong network of future collaborators. Arda also grew in autonomy, learning to take
ownership of projects, while appreciating the value of teamwork in achieving results. Overall,
the experience gave him practical insights that will support his long-term goal of launching
his own business.
