PRESENTATION OF THE EXCHANGE

Description of activities, objectives reached, and outputs

Volodymyr Senko is the founder of Association DEEP, based in Strasbourg, an organisation dedicated to youth empowerment, civic education, and international cooperation. With a strong background in supporting displaced persons and developing educational initiatives, he joined the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs programme to reinforce his leadership and management skills, gain practical experience in European funding, and expand his professional network to ensure the sustainable growth of his organisation.

His host entrepreneur, Tiziana Cristiano, is the founder of L’isola che c’è APS in Rome, an organisation active in education and training services with over 20 years of experience in European cooperation and project management. Through the programme, she sought to broaden her organisation’s international network, share her expertise, and benefit from the innovative ideas and fresh perspectives brought by a young entrepreneur.

During the six-month exchange, Volodymyr was actively involved in the strategic and operational development of the host organisation. He analysed its structure, mission, and communication practices, and contributed to the design of a volunteer management strategy. Together with the host entrepreneur, he co-created a social media plan, developed communication templates, and participated in networking events. He also received hands-on training in EU funding applications, contributed to a fundraising strategy, and co-authored a joint European project proposal.
In parallel, Volodymyr designed and facilitated educational workshops, organised pilot volunteer activities, and contributed to the development of an innovative LARP-based educational game addressing gender issues. Both entrepreneurs also collaborated on a project supporting displaced Ukrainian youth across Europe. Throughout the exchange, Tiziana provided close mentoring in project coordination, funding mechanisms, monitoring tools, and strategic planning, dedicating at least five hours per week to the development of Volodymyr’s entrepreneurial project.

The exchange generated tangible benefits for both participants. Volodymyr significantly strengthened his project management, fundraising, and European cooperation skills, while consolidating the strategic vision of his organisation and expanding his professional network. Tiziana, in turn, benefited from Volodymyr’s expertise in youth empowerment and work with displaced populations, which enriched the design of more inclusive and innovative projects. The partnership resulted in the co-development of new educational tools and civic engagement methodologies and laid the foundations for long-term cooperation, with plans to submit at least two joint European project proposals in 2025.
