The exchange took place at the Hellenic Pasteur Institute of Athens, an international institute specialized in microbiology, with presence all around the world. The institute has a collaborative net between the academic field and the private sector, sharing this way all the findings and the best synergies to develop the knowledge and the new treatments of the future. Daniel Carrasco chose to come to the Hellenic Pasteur Institute because of its specific laboratory that was helpful to his idea for a start-up.

During his time at the institute, Daniel learned about private societies and potential investors, he met researchers supporting their laboratories through collaborations in particular fields, he learned about the costs and the potential of a synergy with a public entities. In a nutshell, he found all the answers that he wanted to get from an internship and he was able to carry out his own project, getting further technical and practical knowledge for the future.
